Lets talk hair bows

We live in the south, the land of the giant hair bow. Seriously every portrait of a little girl has a hair bow and that’s OK. BUT ( you knew there would be a but, right?) there are good and bad. For a traditional outfit a larger than average white bow is considered acceptable. However the need for a large one ( multi colored, layered, etc) with every outfit is unnecessary. I talk a LOT about cohesive accessories, shoes headbands, scarfs and BOWS! There is to be the exception to every rule and I can help you with that at your session.

I am NOT saying no bows I am saying that we should think how they go with the outfit, ( in direct relation to having portraits taken not necessarily for everyday wear) do they draw attention away from the face? We are going for and accessory not a focal point with hair bows. MY girls wear bows with everything even when they were tiny babies, but the size of the bow was proportionate and coordinated to draw attention to their faces not the bow/outfit. make sense?

SO In this educational process I have partnered with my FAVORITE online bow maker ( Bitty Bows Boutique) to offer you a STEAL on her baby bows ( my total fave and REALLY stays on in tiny wisps of hair, no joke!) She is offering a trial of her infamous no slip baby hair bow for only $1.00 yes you read that right only $1.00 for my readers! to take advantage of this offer and to try out a super cute hair bow follow the link below. This is only good for ONE week so be sure to head over today to get yours!

Kelly ( the owner of Bitty Bows) says this about her baby clip:

About our Baby Clip
Our tiny metal baby clip is a unique design, and has a tight hold for the tiniest amount of short, sparse, and infant fine hair. Near-baldies™ can wear this clip! If she has never been able to wear a bow before, or has been stuck in a headband, this is the clip to try! This clip is not just for peach fuzz. Short, baby fine hair works beautifully with this clip at various lengths, especially if it is wispy. It is very lightweight, so she likely won’t even notice it on her head. Photos, as well as many other non-slip designs are also available at Bitty Bows Boutique, and can be viewed here https://www.bittybowsboutique.com/clip-types.html

I totally AGREE! I love those darling little bows! see, this is on on EMILY ( who is 3 now by the way) when she had newborn fuzz for hair.
